  1. I think that it is really important that language learners use their new skills regularly and apply what they have been doing in the classroom. If they are going to be confident, they have to speak regularly.

  2. I think that trying to speak the language of the country you are visiting is all part of the fun. The people from the home country often seem to really appreciate you making the effort to speak, even if you are making a lot of mistakes! I think that younger people appear to pick up a new language much more quickly and easily than older people. Picking up a language when you are on holiday abroad also means you can start up new friendships too.

  3. I think sometimes we are just afraid of making mistakes. It's just understanding that you don't have to be completely fluent to be able to communicate and get your point across.
